Help!
I am looking for an old PBS movie about orphans. I believe they were coming from Europe and being sent throughout Canada to new homes. The story centers around a young girl who is adopted into a good home (the wife dies and she eventually marries the man) and a boy who is sent to a home where he is mistreated. The end of the movie is set at Christmas where the girl brings the boy an orange but he has killed himself, so she drops the orange in the snow. Anyone ever see this movie? Thanks.
