If You Didn't Get That One...
Well, I posted a request for a movie from the 90's that no one has been able to "Name That Tune". Here is an even tougher one, and the last of my requests. If you didn't get the previous Asylum Thriller, you probably won't get this one either.
This is a late 60's or early 70's movie, and quite good, as I remember from childhood recollection.
A murder has been committed in an asylum for the insane. An undercover detective is assigned to find the culprit. As the movie unfolds, two things are happening;
The detective gets closer to finding the killer, but at the same time;
His exposure to the crazy people around him causes him to lose his grasp on his sanity. Toward the end of the movie he discovers the killer but also loses his sanity and becomes one of the crazy people.
I don't know why I had a curiosity for these 2 movie based on the theme of Asylum Thrillers, but they are a blast from my past. So far no winners have come forward, so I will have to turn this into a passing hobby of sorts in order to find the movies I am asking about. If I find the titles, I will post them here should anyone care.
