Its a Sci Fi movie, Im not sure when it was made, I remember watching as a kid though. I think its based on mars, I know its another planet though. There is a mining operation on this planet, and a new guy comes in on a shuttle with a robot. The guy turns out to be a bad guy, and his robot goes crazy and kills people.

part of the movie I remember the best is, the female miner gets some of the mining dust in her eye, which is supposed to be really bad because it eats its way deeper into the eye if left unchecked, but she has to hold real still, and the robot snatches the dust off of her eye.

I know thats definately not it. In the one Im thinking of, There was already a Mining operation on the planet, with people still living and working in it. I know it sounds a lot like Red Planet now that I think about it, but I know thats not it. I remember watching this movie in the early 90s. Almost all of it takes place Inside the mining facility, with about the only scenes outside is showing the ship landing and various shots of the planet.
