Default I am legend, The last man on Earth in 2007

Robert Neville is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable, fast spreading...and manmade. Somehow immune to the virus, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City...and maybe the rest of the world. But he is not alone. He is surrounded by "the Infected" victims of the plague who have mutated into carnivorous beings who can only live through in the dark and who will devour or infect anyone or anything in their path. Sounds like a very enticing plot isn't it?

I wish they would've made this more like the real story.

Pretty sure sure there's already like 2 other threads on this movie... Search anyone?

At least one for sure, yes. It's worth commenting on how much I'm upset by this on every thread though. That's just my two cents.

What, by the fact that there is multiple threads on most of the movies here. Or that some of us try to get people to use the search function?

Well, it really doesn't matter now what thread I reply to. Not having a go at anyone at all, but I agree the search function is there for a good reason.

I did not know 'I Am Legend' was originally a book. So I'm guessing the purists will nit pick, but if I'd read it, I probably would too, because the trailer left me unimpressed.
It started out looking very interesting, still a virus wipes infects mankind (which is this generations answer to atomic holocaust) that is slightly reminiscent of many films of late, but the thing that really put me off was the infected people being creatures. Films like Resident Evil or 28 Days Later (plus about a dozen direct to DVD films, lol) have trodden basically the same territory over and over again.
Sure the book may have come first (I don't know) and thats how they'll defend it, but talk about following a trend. I expected something else, what, I don't know, but something else.
Still, I'll check it out on DVD before I make up my mind. It may be a fresh take on an overused idea, who knows?

Neither. It's still worth it to me to complain about the movie itself—not the multiple threads.

Oh, I gotcha. Not to excited about the flick then eh? It may turn out to be a decent popcorn flick.
