Default Blood: The Last Vampire

Today the first official still hit from the live action adaptation of Blood: The Last Vampire. In the film a vampire named Saya, who is part of covert government agency that hunts and destroys demons in a post-WWII Japan, is inserted in a military school to discover which one of her classmates is a demon is disguise.

Set to be released in 2008, I loved this anime' I hope this doesn't suck to bad.

I hope so too...Sometimes Japanese SFX looks too cheesy. D:

Wow they're actually making a live action of this one? I liked the movie but thought the story was left hanging until a friend explained to me how the Blood series goes.

After seeing 'Devilman' in live action I am convinced more & more that anime should remain anime. The effects are pretty good as are the fights, but acting, plot and pace are awful.
I hope, like any future live action 'Ghost In The Shell', this 'Blood' live action film gets the respect it deserves.

Heh, yeah. It's really difficult because some elements just don't translate into live action that well.

However, what about movies that aren't really based on anime but are anime-styled? like 'Versus'?

Looks cool alright Sometimes the Japanese manage to make really great movies! But much crap too, but when they do a good movie...its often amazingly good!

They should've had a different actress play Saya though. I don't think this Korean girl fits Saya's role.

Why do you think that?

saya-->covert government agency-->hunting/destroying demons in Japan-->"inserted" in a military school-->mission: find the classmate who is actually a demon!

'Inserted' is such a nice word isn't it.
