Ooh, I just have to say.. The Wire is soo great! I'm in the middle of season 3 now.. have to see it on dvd, cos it dosen't air here in norway.. So, thank god for DVD.. uhm, I guess..
watched the first few eps of the wire and it is quality. Noticed it through imdb by checking what some Oz characters have done. Theres about 4 or so Oz characters in the first 2 eps. If you havnt seen Oz yet then its worth checking out, proberly my fav show up their with sopranos.

Yes, The Sopranos is maybe, ehm, not maybe, it's my favourite show. But then again I'm really enjoy a good gangster/mobster/mafia film.. u know? So when something like The Sopranos comes along, I couldn't wait to see it..

Season 1 aired in Australia many years ago but on a very late (2-3ish am) timeslot ... i loved it ... my friend last year got into it and has downloaded Season 1-3 for me.
I am very impressed by the realism of the series and the acting, writing, plots ... I must admit that I'm lost most of the time with the gangsta-speak, but never the less a brilliant piece of television (although my favorite remains 'Dexter')
btw ... I was informed that the series creators actually listen and respond to the fans and kept a character alive due to public opinion (think it was the druggy who also sells t-shirts) ... 'Babylon 5' was the only other series I heard that fan input effected the programme.
