I really dig scifi and horror flics ... especially the B grade stuff, thats for when I just want to be lightly entertained

My Top 10 shuffles around and gets added to with every movie experience I have.

Therefore at the moment ...

1. Even Dwarves Started Small (1970) - Werner Herzog
aka - Auch Zwerge haben klein angefangen

2. Eastern Promises (2007) - David Cronenberg

3. Sin City (2005) - Frank Miller/Robert Rodriguez

I think that Dexter was one of the greatest television experiences I've had.
The Wire was another one I enjoyed, even though I coun't understand what the hell the gangstas were saying half the time.
I also watch Doctor Who and Torchwood (however I am undecided if I like it yet)
Babylon 5 was a favourite scifi series ... also liked X-Files and Firefly, cannot believe the stupidity of Fox when they stuffed that one up.
Comedy for me would be The Office (UK version), League of Gentlemen and Little Britain.

Most cuisines, however I am alergic to chilli which makes it difficult as my friends usually like hot curries. I enjoy everything from simple sunday roast to oysters freshly removed from the rocks and slurped down raw.

Nice question ... cooking I am not too bad at (at one stage in my life I was contemplating becomming a chef) ... baking I never do, cakes are too much mucking about for me.

Flame for me is the primal element without which we would never be where we are ... it cooked our food, gave us warmth, protection, time to think. Starting into the flame can summon demons and gods.

Enough philosophy I hear you say ... how about this ... I chose Flame because I am a pyrotechnician.

I have never been to Canada, I like the travelers i meet and think I would fit in. A friend went up there so commune with wolves, so if I ever do visit I will want to howl as well

I really like Dexter also. Great characters and interesting plots. Have you ever seen Rescue Me?

lmao!

I have met a few Aussies over here. Very very nice people. Always friendly as hell and very courteous.

You said you liked Eastern Promises. What did you think of that sauna scene. Could you do something like that if making a movie? Would you dare??

@ Clare
Never seen Rescue Me ... not aired in Oz
regarding Hangman ... maybe I will ya never know

@ Escape
courteous ... hmmmm ... well I guess you never got between and Aussie and his/her Beer (yes good sir our wominfolk also have a mighty thirst) LOL
Eastern Promises bathhouse fight was incredible I squirmed and cringed and uttered gutteraly right through the sequence ... I was exhausted when it finished. Regarding me doing that ... hmmmm ... I'd give anything a go ... and have many blood recipes which I'm eager to play with Did mix up a batch for an abortion scene in one of our operas ... but it was cut as the performer found out she was pregnant during rehearsals, IMO I think we did the right thing to cut that scene ... so she ended up just singing in the bathtub.

@Summer
Favourite book, I am a voracious reader ... so I'll go with Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson as it explores memes as a virus in the near future and describes the VR internet so very well and I can actually see the world devolving as he paints it ... the best cyberpunk novel for me (better than Gibson). Although I tend to reread Lord of the Rings every few years.

Best author for me is H.P.Lovecraft (see sig) he was a teller of outre and monsterous tales in 1920's. He was the first to write cosmic horror stories which suggested that monsterous entities were on earth prior to mankind and that their influences are still here, prior to him most horror was gothic and ghostly. He influened and still does many authers including Clive Baker, Steven King, Brian Lumley. He spawned the whole Cthulhu Mythos sub-genre.

Are you a coffee drinker? You bet baby I need a kick start for the day.
