So he operates himself huh, I think it's to avoid infection not to stop the bleeding that's why he burned his wound.

Thats one of my fav scenes. But it shouldnt come as a surprise he would have some basic medical skills. He is a soldier afterall.

Yes good point. I always knew it was either one of the two u mentioned as to why he done that. I just wasnt sure. My dad always says its to avoid infection but funny enough i never asked anyone else.

Might start asking some doctors lol. Great scene though.

I agree, plus if you follow the fiction, Rambo III lives in Thailand, so it's unlikely that he would become so huge. He ran away from America to have a different lifestyle, so he would have adapted to Thailand.

He would continue to train and keep himself fit, carrying stones, helping villagers to build land / houses and even protect them from Bandits and pirates from time to time.

Now you look at him and wonder how can that man still do what he does?
Only Hollywood can make that happen, Bruce Willis was believable in DH 4
He's an unlucky guys who's at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Yeah, saturday night live !!

Im about done watching this, and though I was skeptical when hearing how this film delivered I have to say its great! Its what Rambo II shoulda been rather than the He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe level realism theyd went with.
