I may be wrong there unclejack but I believe FBI meant Rambo wasn't on film since then.
Thats what i meant yes.

But that was '88 wasn't it, so maybe he was off by a year I dunno.
Was it 88? ok. lol.

This Rambo film doesn't look half bad. I mean it's looking a bit like saving Private Ryan the way the bodies are getting torn apart. I've only saw First Blood so I can't really say the others were or were not like this one. Just how it looks from a realistic point of view but that's still only watching a minute or so trailer.
Yeah. Was shocked at how gory it was. At least the people in saving ryan was blown up by guns and shells and not by another man.
The story better justify the violence rambo uses. If ur alone fighting an army then u would want to escape and kill them the quickkest way possible. Not spending too much time torturing them by ripping out lungs and guts.

First rambo was classic. Two and three were good popcorn stuff.

Stallone isn't a bad actor if given the right part. I enjoyed his last Rocky film. His choice of films though haven't been the greatest from my point of view.
yes. He is underrated as an actor and people think he actually is as dumb as rocky. Whereas in fact he is very intelligent and a good writer. Rocky and rambos prove that. He co wrote rambo however.

I had one obnoxious customer from the hotel i worked in last year who refused to believe that stallone wrote rocky. He deemed stallone as not having the intellect to do this whcih proves that whoever he thought the screenwriter was, was a genius. I tried to convince him and he said he has to chekc it out himself. I didnt bother speaking to after that.

Not cos he wasnt pro stallone but cos he was ignorant and obnoxious.

I actually loved Rocky Balboa, I thought it was a satisfying conclusion to the rocky saga. By the way, sorry I misread you FBI, I thought you meant he hadn't had a movie since the 80s and I know that's not true.

Yeah, I'd rather him not torture anyone. He's not that kind of soldier anyways I don't believe. But again, I haven't seen 2 and 3 so just guessing here.

FBI, what do you mean when you say at least they were getting blown up by shells and not by a man?

I honestly forgot he wrote that him self heheh. But yeah, that dude was only judging him by the characters he plays which is a bit foolish I'd say.

I haven't really had time to respond to alot of these posts lately but I just wanted to pop in and say that I like all the pro-Stallone suff I've been hearin. I too am a big Stallone fan especially since I watched the last Rocky film. My appreciation for him as an actor is pretty high. Also, I don't care what reviews and critics said, the condtender is a great show. But then I'm somewhat of a boxin fan so maybe I'm kinda biased.

Oh and one more thing about the contender that I like and my hat goes off to Stallone for it...the rewards for winnin a fight were pretty simple. Not all the grandiose crap in "reality" tv shows today.

I mean that although saving private ryan was gory, the soldiers were getting blown up by shells and artillery which is realistic. But rambo 4 shows him ripping peoples throats and guts which seems over the top. In that case, the story better justify rambos violence.
Sorry bout the way i wrote it. I was in a hurry.

Stallone himself is just like Rocky: an underdog that most people want to see win. He's just been a victim of bad roles...and a bad facelift too it seems.

Oh ok. Yeah, I don't care for him ripping throats up either but I mean maybe it's cause he needs to do it quietly so is the only way at the time. I dunno but I get you totally there.

Where'd the torture scenario come from did I miss that in the trailer? But even with that aside John Rambo is A Green Beret' it's easy to dismiss that in todays softer and less aggressive times but the fact is he is a killer and I hope to see some truely ridiculous bloodshed and explosions just like back in the day. You guys are so getting me pumped about this!
