Sometimes it's better to not follow the rage .lol.

And I know you didn't say it needed one... I was just saying, that's all...

I'm not one to follaw rages or trends anyway - if the fashion is slacks, I'll be the one wearing jeans.
I've been playing Aliens Vs Predator 2 a lot recently on PC and the story really interests me, perhaps it is time for a future based Predator or AVP?

Actually I did not even like Predator 2, so I would say it has been downhill since Arnold did the first one: which is awesome.

'Predator 2' had its merits. New weapons, another great Predator, the clan ship, the elder Predator and some innovative action scenes (like the train).
The mythology was also beefed up.

On the flipside, it wasn't necessary to base it in 1997. Danny Glover was a terrible choice and him taking out a Predator makes the Predator seem weak, unlike the powerhouse that is Arnold that we all associate with toughness and strength. We really buy that the Predator is a tough hombre if Arnie has trouble. Not so with Glover.
The first one seemed more believable and grounded than P2 as well.
There was also too much peripheral comedy (eg. 'Hard Core') and although the city idea worked well, Gary Busey didn't.

Still, I'm still intrigued by a P3.

Forget anything past Predator 2, and Aliens, and you will remain a good person. The first 2 movies in either series were the only things worth watching.

YES, It totally agree with you on that ...

When I picture who wud be good to confront a Predator in the third *if it had been made in like, the 90's* I always think of the following...

Sylvester Stallone

and

Jean-Claude Van Damme

.lol. Imagine Jet Li facing a Predator... That'd be SWEET

And Jackie Chan facing one? That'd be funny .lol. "I don't want to fight you... I run a restaurant, I don't want any trouble"

Predator: Motherfucker!!! .lol.

These days everyone nominates the Rock, why, who knows. I would like to see Jason Statham (Transporter) or Richard Burgi (Dax in Starship Troopers 2). Still, its hard to find someone with nearly as much on screen presence and power as Arnold.

Yeah, The Rock, Stallone, and Statham are all good picks. Jackie Chan would make it too comical. I don't think he's ever been in a serious film has he? Not sure I could forget who I'm watching if he was to star in it. Jet li..........eh maybe.
