Ok lets change the concept of this thread.

Who would beat Rambo, and why.

It has to be a convincing argument, and two people must agree with you. If your argument wins then your character is next on the block. This could be fun, but Rambo is tough to beat.

Colonel John Matrix (Commando) would beat Rambo (First Blood) in an albeit close competition -
US Soldier: "You think I can smell them coming?"
Matrix: "I did..."

They're both deadly trained and have intimate weapons knowledge, though Matrix has a larger variety of weapons in the film than Rambo had and is obviously more seasoned.
The difference with Matrix is, from watching the two films, he is more resourceful and though Rambo is merciless as well at times, Matrix is unfazed by mowing down almost a hundred enemies, hacking limbs and some fearsome hand to hand.
If we are talking a hand to hand knife/fisticuffs combat situation, I would say Matrix without a doubt, but its too close to call in terms of a blatant exchange of gunfire and explosives.
I assume we are talking hand to hand here on this thread anyway, right?

A very well put argument Kinzdone. I think the new Rambo would beat Colonel John Matrix though. He was just amazingly brutal in that film!

However, if I had to put a candidate forward, I would have to say Azazel from Fallen. If that counts, if that counts as it is a demon lol.

I think 'Dutch' from the movie 'Predator' can beat Rambo simply because he has taken on an alien species not of this world and proven he could defeat it. An alien species that can defeat an actual 'ALIEN' in hand to hand combat. And when I say ALIEN, I'm talking about Ripken's AIENS.

So unless Rambo can indeed prove himself worthy of this feat, then he is.........OUT!!!

Hmm, there's a thought. Not losing track of the main line in this thread, but Dutch versus Matrix would be a good contest, at least in the quote arena:
"You're one ugly MF..." vs "You're a funny guy...that's why I'm going to kill you last..." - "I let him go", still makes me laugh though
.

I agree with you Escape. Sorry but Matrix was injured by common mercs....so Predator whooper Dutch gets the nod. I like Arnold more than Sly anyway. Ok Rambo's benched.

Who could beat Dutch?!
