Oh I dont know Fed! McClane had the better lines, but Riggs was able to avoid shooting helicopters, and boinked that hot blonde then married Rene Russo, and McClanes drunk & divorced. The times were too tough on poor JJ! Also Riggs fought in Nam as a special forces master sniper! In a fistfight no weapons youd have to say Riggs. Riggs baaaaad!

Also Rambo Vs Conan would be an interesting matchup, but thats not fair cause Conan would be shot. Poor Conan.

Here's the list so far:

1. John Matrix (Commando)
2. Dalton (Road House)
3. Hannibal Lector (Silence of the Lambs)
4. Beck (The Rundown)
5. Antonov Navarre (Ladyhawke)
6. Ash (Evil Dead 1,2,3)
7. James Bond
8. Conan (Conan The Barbarian)
9. Jack Sparrow (Pirates Of The Caribbean)
10. The Man With No Name (The Good, The Bad and the Ugly)
11. Chen Zhen (Fist of Legend) - Jet Li
12. Dutch (Predator)
13. Rambo (Rambo: First Blood Part II)
14. Thomas (Wheels on Meals) - Jackie Chan
15. Ivan Drago (Rocky IV)
16. John Connor adult (T2 opening)

For the record, as much as I love McClane, I'd take Riggs in any sort of fight with him. Unless they had a smirk-off.

Rob, I didn't add John Wayne to the list because you didn't specify a movie. Just pick one for your next round of guess. We should probably cap them off at 32, unless everyone wants more and we'll just go up to 64.

My next 4:

17. Lee (Enter the Dragon) - Bruce Lee
18. Achilles (Troy)
19. Leonidas (300)
20. Nada (They Live)

John Waynes Rooster Cogburn in True Grit. Realize people this should be called the John Wayne Award. He transcends all his films, and the toughness associated with his name is greater than any other actor mentioned.

Val Kimers Doc Holiday in Tombstone

Charles Bronson in Death Hunt

Chuck Norris in Lone Wolf Mcquade

Arnold Scwharzenegger in True Lies. He was a Rambo familyman spy!

Actually I was toying with calling it the "Philo Beddoe Tournament". Because for some reason, the first movie I thought of when I thought of fighting, was Clint Eastwood in "Any Which Way You Can" against William Smith. To me, Eastwood is the toughest actor ever. No offense to the Duke. I was tempted to choose him in "The Quiet Man" myself.

I dont understand the rules so far. We have to wait until 3 people reply to our first list before we can post our next 4 contenders? So right now i cant post anymore right?

No, go ahead and post them. I just didn't want anybody putting up like 20 of their own selections right away or double posting.

Actually Ford it would be better if everyone lists everyone we can think of so that way a complete list is made faster (Btw I just thought of Kurt Russell Snake Plisken Escape From New York/LA). Then we can argue who beats who in what order.
