Watched The Hoax with Richard Gere as Clifford Irving, the author who in the early 70's completely fabricated an autobiography of reclusive billionaire, Howard Hughes. It was funny and very entertaining. I highly recommend it. 8/10
I've been meaning to pick that up, what a story huh? I think he won some kind of book award for that fabricated story too.
He spent about 17 months in jail and of course had to pay the book publisher, MacGraw-Hill, back the money they'd advanced him. He did write a book called The Hoax, based on the scam. Don't know if he won any awards, though.
I just finished watching an older movie from 1995 titled "The Maddening" that starred Burt Reynolds & Angie Dickinson. Not nessesarily my type of movie but it was interesting enough to finish. Playing a bad guy or a good guy, I have always enjoyed watching Burt Reynolds at work.
