Only 5 bucks so what the hell. Heard it was worth it anyways.

After much waiting and unsure if it would be faithful to the ground rules and established movements, I finally watched this sequel and was, as a 'Blade Runner' fan also, blown away.
Shirow, who also directed the first one, really did keep faithful to the GITS world created in the first film and as he says he obviously had 'Blade Runner' in the back of his ind whilst making this film.
Fantastic and well worth the $30 I paid.

I bought the Saturday Night Fever PG-Rated VHS because it's supposed to be a good film and i'm too young to see the rated 18 version. I hope they release it on DVD sometime

I bought Serenity on HD-DVD. A bargain at a fiver (£5). God bless HD-DVD, the obsolete medium!

That's pretty damn good dude. Personally, I'm aiming to get Blu-Ray in the near future. I've seen some ok bargains from then from time to time. Short circuit is only 17 bucks which isn't half bad considering most of their films are in the late 20s to early 30s.

I have been following the battle quite closely between blu ray and hd dvd and it seems to me that due to the amount of money both companies spent trying to get their format to win, they forgot that it isn't as big a leap forward as people had hoped. The discs are amazing for storage but I think something will come soon that will be truly awesome.

In the mean time I am enjoying my hd dvd player and in the near future plan to by a preowned ps3 to let me watch blu rays. Nothing wrong with preparing incase of every eventuality.

I just think it's a money thing. Blu-Ray since they did win does have the capacity to get more out of their disks so are waiting to get the crappy ones out there, then will start supping them up with the same movies to suck more money out of the people. I could be wrong but that's my theory. They do this all the time with the double disc sets. A couple months down the line they release a 2 disc version, then sometimes a 3 disc set like they did with that latest King Kong film. That fried my ass.
