- the MUSIC thread -
Hi all...
Movies are great, but so is Music!
In this thread we discuss everything music.
ex. Favourite band/ artist? Favourite music genre?
What do you hate about certain music genres? Or certain artists?
Modern music VS. Old gold? Are pop-music artists just a bunch of sell-outs?
Yea, just about anything, music! (..be careful to quote posts you're answering..)
Yay! Let us get this music thread started!

Bad Religion
The Misfits
GWAR
Unearth
Dead Kennedys
Thrice
Between the Buried and Me
Interpol
Saves The Day
Beethoven
The Beatles
Elliot Smith
The Advantage
Leonard Cohen
At The Drive-In
Coheed & Cambria
Ice Cube
Queen
Black Sabbath
Queens of the Stone Age
Tiger Army
Killswitch Engage
Neutral Milk Hotel
White Zombie (before Rob went solo and retarded)
Metallica
Pantera
Ozzy Osbourse (first two albums)
Sorry to list so many, but those are some of my favoUrites. I pretty much like rock/punk/metal, but I do like some other genres as well. There are many genres like oldies, jazz and the blues that I dig, just none of them really made it on my list of all-time favoUrites. I like classical a lot as well. I HATE a great deal of rap, for it is all the same anymore. Seriously, anyone from a certain place and a certain look can become a rapper these days. It doesn't even take talent anymore. I HATE a great deal of pop. I HATE terrible rapcore/raprock, leaving pretty much only one band and a couple of random albums or so from the entire genre that I do not hate with a nearly unrivaled passion. I HATE a lot of newer metal. I HATE "nu metal."

Ah, yes, I forgot The Smiths on my list. Oh well, there are so many, ya know?
Ever listen to Unearth? If not, I suggest checking out the CD The Strings of Conscious. Their new stuff is also very good, but that album was pretty revolutionary and I've never heard a better "metalcore" album to this day.

Yea, I've heard a song or two, and I've read about them in metal magazines.
I can't really remember how they sounded though.. Yep.

In the last couple of days I've been listening a lot to Dire Straits.. I haven't done that before, just some songs, from time to time.. I truly enjoy listening to Mark Knopfler playing.. Awesome..! Yea..

I've been listening to a lot of radiohead lately. I can't wait until they tour again. I saw them in concert about 7 years ago and it was one of the best concerts I had ever seen. They sounded and performed amazingly.
