I have this movie for some time now.. and I can't watch it.. I have no idea when should I watch it and what kind of mood should I be...
It's just it seems so "I Robot-ish" to me...

I think "I, Robot" is my favorite film of Smith's, but I can't understand why that old guy didn't just tell Sonny to tell the cops that that security system thing was going crazy, or just have Sonny destroy it himself.

I thought the alternate ending fixed everything that was wrong with "I Am Legend". It made Neville see the dark seekers in a different light, with him being the real predator who was kidnapping and experimenting on them. He finally saw them as intelligent and capable of emotion. His blindness to all of that in the theatrical cut really annoyed me.

"I, Robot" had more humor to it, but I guess you could draw a parallel between Neville and the dark-seekers and Spooner and the robots.

Save IAL for when you feel like watching a serious, sci-fi/horror film. It's not gory, but it is tense at times.
