Yes, I have heard of it, Escape. I have never read it though. It's been compared to
The Stand by King though. It is probably a good book. However, it came exactly 20 years after the original
I Am Legend, which was published in 1954. To me, and this is just me, it is sad that the book
I Am Legend's story and premise has been changed so much by this new movie. Trust me, I'm not a big fan of the first two "adaptations" either—for they do not follow it all that closely either—but at least they didn't use the same name, ya know? This newest version is probably the most muddled up of the three, yet they tag the original name to it. I've never seen it, but I don't have to. I have heard enough about it from people I know very well to understand that it doesn't even have the same meaning really of the book. It may be a decent movie and story (I doubt it though), but whatever it is, it is not
I Am Legend. I don't know, I just find this to be a sad case of "what could've been."
