No, the second film is the best, but I really enjoyed 3 because it felt much more like the comics I used to read years ago with lots going on and multiple villains.

The Punisher and Wolverine's movie rights are owned by Fox, so you'll never see them in a Spidey movie. The Punisher would have been cool, but Wolverine sucks. Has he ever won a fight in the 3 X-Men movies? :p

I have read the 'Spider-man vs Wolverine' story and it isn't bad at all, but too complex for a film as the 'mutant world' needs to filter through the movie.
The only Punisher vs Spidey comic I have read was the 'Family Plot' storyline which had great Spidey moments, but came out when the Punisher was at his weakest point in his own books before his revival.

No more Goblins either! Having them appear in 3 out of 4 films would be insane.

As much as I would really love to see Hobgoblin, I agree he can wait a feew more films. Bring on Shocker! We've seen him in I think all the VG adaptations of the movies.

The Lizard makes a great villain because Spider-Man knows he can't just beat the hell out of him because he'd be hurting Doc Conners. He always has to hold back, and that could get him killed.

I agree, thats what I like about the idea of him in the next film. The relationship between Connor and Parker has had time to gestate on screen over the last couple of films.

The Sinister Six? Weren't they just six lame guys that couldn't beat Spider-Man individually?

True, but wouldn't that make for an awesome action packed movie?
The original SS would be too hard to realise now after Ock's death, but the original SS were:
Doctor Octopus, Kraven The Hunter, Electro, Mysterio, Vulture and Sandman.
There was another villain group called the 'Sinister Syndicate' headed up by 'The Beetle' as well as the 'Sinister Seven' and 'Sinister Twelve'.

Electro could be alright, as long as they didn't use his costume. I just picture a guy walking around with blue static electricity flowing all around him.

I agree, like the way the character was portrayed in the recent MTV Spider-man animated series.

Scorpion is probably my favorite. A former cop selected by J. Jonah Jameson to be a hero and overshadow Spider-Man, instead goes crazy and becomes a villain.

That would make for a movie in itself. The Scorpion tale (pardon the pun) is worth one film focussing on him alone.

Personally, the crossover I'd love to see is Spider-Man vs Daredevil. Until they realize they're both on the same side and go after the Kingpin together. But again, Fox has the rights to Daredevil and the Kingpin.
Yeh, unfortunately Fox could do many crossovers, but Sony only has Spider-man. Unless they have more Marvel heroes introduced initially in the Spidey films like Black Cat, Doctor Strange (referred to Spider-man 2), Arsenal, Foreigner or groups like the 'Thunderbolts'.
