Julia Roberts winning for Erin Brokovich over Ellen Burstyn who was also nominated for Requiem for A Dream and gave an incredible performance. Burstyn deserved the Oscar far more than Julia Roberts. Any halfway decent actress could have played the role in Erin, but it took a wide range of emotion and talents to play the woman in Requiem.
